Meet Jeanette

Commercial Pilot, ASEL/AMEL

My husband and I are passionate about all things aviation. When I was about 12 years old, a gentleman in Youngstown, Ohio gave me my first airplane ride...in a 1946 Piper J-3C Cub. After graduating from high school, I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. I earned a B.S. in Aerospace Studies, minoring in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Aviation Safety.  Years later I was able to track down that man and thank him. By this time, I was a CFI/CFII/MEI instructing in western PA (KBVI). In 2022, I was also able to track down the Cub that started it all. It had been beautifully restored and I am now the proud owner of THE Piper J-3 Cub that ignited my love for aviation. I'm thrilled that I get to use it to share the joy of aviation with both young and old.

Gold Seal CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI, IGI, Tailwheel instructor

A teacher at heart.  Long before I started flight instructing, I taught college mathematics and homeschooled our 3 young children while my husband flew for the USAF.  Becoming a CFI was the perfect union between my love for aviation and teaching.  I taught and evaluated at a Part 141 pilot school for 3 years before moving on to the FAA.

Aviation Safety

I was a Principle Operations Inspector for the South Carolina FSDO (SO-13) for nearly 6 years.  I was responsible for the oversight of operators both in South Carolina and across the US.  The most challenging aspect of being an ASI for a GA FSDO is the diversity of all the tasks you learn to tackle.  One day you could be observing a banner tow pilot doing a pickup/drop, the next moment could be working on a Part 135 certification, or you just might get that random call to an accident scene.  I'm grateful for the team I worked with and I'm honored to continue working alongside them as a FAASTeam Representative and as one of their Designees.

Thank you!

I am honored that you are considering me in your aviation journey.

Welcome!

June is FULL with initial requests.  I am reserving afternoon appointments for retests and reschedules due to weather/mx/illness ONLY.

All new requests must be for July or later.  I will offer afternoon slots on a case by case basis when I can.

If the weather for your appointment time is questionable, please stay in communication with me before traveling.  We need the minimum cloud clearance/visibility requirements for VFR in controlled airspace plus ACS minimum recovery altitudes for maneuvers.
