This syllabus is adapted from:

My TAA syllabus focuses on training in experimental aircraft like the RV series. It draws heavily from the FAA Advanced Avionics Handbook (AAH, FAA-H-8083-6) for best practices, essential skills, risk management, automation management and aligns with requirements in 14 CFR §61.129 for TAA while incorporating scenario based principles from FAA Industry Training Standards (FITS). Tailwheel initial or recurrent training is a fantastic way to improve any pilot's "stick and rudder" skills by challenging themselves with a new experience outside their comfort zone. My syllabus is created from the requirements in 14 CFR §61.31(i) and my experience instructing those in pursuit of a tailwheel endorsement. Contact me for tailwheel training!
